my beautiful country

Grenada  is an island country and Commonwealth realm consisting of the island of Grenada and six smaller islands at the southern end of the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. Grenada is located northwest of Trinidad and Tobago, northeast of Venezuela, and southwest of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Grenada is also known as the “Island of Spice” because of the production of nutmeg and mace crops of which Grenada is one of the world’s largest exporters. Its size is 344 square kilometres (133 sq mi), with an estimated population of 110,000. Its capital is St. George’s. The national bird of Grenada is the critically endangered Grenada Dove.

I had the opportunity to go hiking with my cousin that came to visit from Canada and boy was the scenes amazing. so i’m wondering why is it that producers of movies and stuff refuses to travel to such places like my country to film movies. And of course i know with finances involved it’s quite hard but isn’t all the money worth it when you the finish product is amazing.
Truth is the beauty of Grenada (like all countries) isn’t just good for one genre of movies e.g, there are areas that I’ve been to that looks similar to horror scenes in movies (and yes i am into horror movies) except too me hey are way more amazing.
most times it’s like certain countries in the Caribbean is excluded from the world, for whatever reason i don’t know. I don’t know the rules or guidelines as it relates to world music tours and stuff but to me that name should somehow be changed, i mean why is it that, for as long as live all these big name celebrities would say they’re touring “the world” and you never see them here in the Caribbean. alright fair enough the Caribbean is where you find them vacationing most time but it seems like the Caribbean is no good place to spend money for the purpose of entertaining their “Caribbean” fans, or is it that they themselves are too “big” for our “little” islands. now i’m not against anyone here and i will still support them and look up to them but i just think it’s rather unfair.
I would love to see the day that one of these big name producers see it fit to produce a movie and have it filmed in “Grenada”. after all we’re not outer space we’re just a boat ride or a plane ride away. call me stupid but when it comes to finances, that shouldn’t even be a problem because they have the money and by  the way when comparing US$ to EC$ there’s no problem what so ever. 1 US dollar is 2.70 EC so there. i always have hope of something great happening so, guess what! one day it will happen.
